This weekend began with a breakfast at Good Hope United Methodist Church, featuring cheese meat casserole, biscuits and gravy, and yogurt with several blending options. The rains held off, allowing the parade to proceed as planned. The parade enjoyed significant local support.
The Good Hope Fire Department hosted a noon meal, grilling for attendees. Later in the afternoon, Alpha Baptist Church organized a bake sale and served floats as part of Andover Days. Concurrently, the Osco Andover Fire Department grilled pork chops.
In the evening, the Orion Community Band performed music. At 7 p.m., they played patriotic tunes while the Orion American Legion and Orion VFW conducted a veterans tribute.
