The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced the addition of three cancers to the list of presumptive diseases covered under the Honoring our PACT Act of 2022 (P.L. 117-168). The newly included cancers are male breast cancer, urethral cancer, and cancer of the paraurethral glands. These conditions are now presumed to be service-connected disabilities due to toxic exposure.

This change aims to streamline the claims process for eligible veterans who have been diagnosed with these types of cancer. Veterans can seek further information about PACT Act benefits or find an accredited service officer to assist in filing a claim.
