City of Moline Traffic Engineering Committee met Nov. 4.
Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

3. Approval of minutes of the Traffic Engineering Committee meeting of October 7, 2025.
4. Request for 3-way stop at intersection of 14th Street A & 35th Avenue.
Explanation: Resident that lives near this intersection sent a letter to Alder Razzaque requesting consideration of a 3-way stop. States vehicles travel at an increased speed, well above the signed 20 mph, making it difficult to get out of driveway. Resident is also concerned for walkers along 35th Avenue, as there are no sidewalks.
Current speed ordinance; 20 MPH Speed Limit, “Thirty-fifth Avenue, from Thirteenth Street east to Thirty-Sixth Avenue”.
Per Matt Russell, zero crash reports at intersections of 14th St. A & 35th Ave. and 15th St & 35th Ave, January 1st 2021-present.
Any person with disabilities who wishes to attend the meeting who requires a special accommodation, or any other person requiring a special accommodation in attending the meeting, should notify the City Engineer’s Office, 524-2350, at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting time.
5. Request for 3-way stop at intersection of 25th Street & 7th Avenue and a one-way for south bound traffic.
Explanation: Resident is requesting a 3-way stop at the intersection of 25th Street & 7th Avenue for east, west, and south bound traffic. Resident is also requesting; the north leg of the intersection be a one-way for south bound traffic because that would allow for parking on both sides of the street.
This intersection is currently a 2-way stop for east/west bound traffic. On 25th Street, there is no parking on the west side of the street.
Per Matt Russell, there have been a total of 3 crashes at this intersection from Jan 2021-present. Attachment: Yes
6. Request for flashing stop signs at intersection of 15th Street & 24th Avenue.
Explanation: Received a govrequest for flashing stop signs at this intersection. The intersection is currently a four-way stop.
