The City of Moline has started its annual leaf vacuuming service, which will continue until December 12, depending on weather conditions. The program divides the city into three areas between the Mississippi River and the Rock River. Crews operate Monday through Friday, working from north to south (1st Avenue to 52nd Avenue) in each area and resume where they left off each day.
In addition to leaf vacuuming, residents can set out yard waste bags for free pickup during this period. The city asks that only biodegradable bags up to 30 gallons be used and that these are placed three feet away from trash carts on collection days.
Residents seeking updates about when crews will be in their neighborhood can call the Leaf Hotline at 309-524-2407 or view a collection map at bit.ly/molineleaf.
