Senate Republicans in Illinois have successfully convinced Governor Pritzker to halt proposed budget cuts for the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) community. The cuts, proposed by the Pritzker administration, would have resulted in a reduction of 2.5 million hours of services provided by Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in group homes where approximately 10,000 adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities reside.
