The Committee of the Whole in East Moline recently met to discuss the replacement of a wastewater treatment plant boiler.
The discussion took place because there will be a bid letting for the project to remove the existing boiler and replace it with two duel-fuel (methane and natural gas), high-efficiency boilers.
The committee also discussed a utility and street improvement project on 28th Avenue and Fourth Street, the 2016 MFT maintenance program, the refacing of Seventh Street's retaining wall, and squad car replacement.
