Silvis City Council renews auditing contract

The Silvis City Council met Jan. 17 to renew an auditing contract.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the council:

6) CONSENT AGENDA BY OMNIBUS VOTE:

(All items under the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted by a single

motion and subsequent roll call vote. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless an Alderman

so requests; in which event the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as the first item

after approval of the Consent Agenda.)

A) Parks, Building & Grounds

Item 1) Repair Boiler system air compressor

Motion to approve emergency repairs to City Hall Boiler system at a cost not to exceed $2,554

B) Finance

Item 1) Renew contract with Carpentier, Mitchel & Goddard

Motion to approve the renewal of a 2 year contract with the auditing firm Carpentier, Mitchell &

Goddard in the amount of $35,500 for 2017 and $36,350 for 2018. Fees for Auditing the Police and Fire

Pension are an additional $1,950 and $1,100 per year.

C) Approve payroll for 5 January 2017 in the amount of $123,483.89

D) Approve Minutes from 3 January 2017 Regular Meeting and Committee of the Whole Meeting

E) Approve all bills bearing proper signatures.
