Alleman Catholic High School is looking to expand its athletics department, impacting it's sports in a major way.
Alleman admits to having sometimes poor conditions on its practice field, but believes that the spirit of hard work and joining together can create a whole new atmosphere for its athletes. The school plans to install turf on the practice fields for long-term investment in their sports squads.
But it's not just for teams. Alleman also wants to bring this idea to life to benefit it's physical education classes and strength and conditioning programs.
The goals of these improvements include creating more space, minimizing the effects of weather conditions, reducing maintenance and mowing expenses, providing training for outdoor sports, and growing a more competitive football program.
The field would be constructed by Bush Sports Turf in three to four weeks. The estimated installation cost is $600,000. It's meant to last between eight and 10 years. Funding contribution forms are available on the Alleman website.
