1. Rescue Throwing Assists. (Lori Wilson, Parks Recreation Director)
Explanation: Trevor Fisk from Moline Police Department is recommending installation of rescue throwing devices along select areas of both river fronts. Placement of these units will be an easy way to get a life line to people in distress. He is looking into options for funding from donations.

2. Math on the Mississippi. (Lori Wilson, Parks Recreation Director)
Explanation: Western Illinois University is hosting a youth program which teaches the students about buoyancy. They are requesting the use of Riverside Pond on July 13th, to test cardboard boats.
There will be no less than four adult including an Assistant Dean, two teachers, a graduate student, and an instructional assistant along with 24 students. Waivers have been signed by the persons entering the watercraft. Flotation devices will be required.
