Seniors can enjoy free health screenings and nutritional suggestions and learn how to take advantage of utility savings at a seminar on Tuesday, June 27, being hosted by Rep. Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) and Sen. Neil Anderson (R-Rock Island).
The Senior Health Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Challand Middle School in Sterling.
Other topics at the free event include safety in the home, assisted living and hospice care. Attendees can also bring a list of their medications for a safety review.
A Silver Sneakers presentation will be offered at 9:15 a.m., and the day will also feature information on utility savings regarding the i-Cash resource, which helps residents learn if they have unclaimed money or assets.
For more information, call McCombie’s office at (815) 632-7384 or Anderson’s office at (309) 736-7084.
