Board Members Present: Chairman Fuhr, Mr. Van Daele, Mr. Coyne, Mr. Brown, and Mr. DeLoose
Staff Present: Gregory Thorpe, Director & Doug Moslehi, Zoning Investigator
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m.
A motion was made to approve the May 3, 2017 minutes. The motion was made by Mr. Coyne, and seconded by Mr. VanDaele. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.

Case: SU-17-202 Special Use Permit
Top of the World, Milan, L.L.C.
The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the May 3rd meeting at the request of Top of the World, Milan, L.L.C. to consider a Special Use Permit in order to have a Large Residential Care Home. There were objectors present. A motion was made to table the request by Mr. DeLoose and seconded by Mr. Brown. The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals reconvened June 7th to deliberate and vote on the measure. A motion was made to approve the request with conditions by Mr. DeLoose and seconded by Mr. Brown. The vote to approve the request with conditions was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown – Yes; Mr. Coyne – No; Mr. DeLoose – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
Case: SU-17-205 Special Use Permit
Clint Zimmerman
The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of the Clint Zimmerman to consider a Special Use Permit for a Density Increase. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request by Mr. Brown and seconded by Mr. Coyne. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown - Yes; Mr. Coyne – Yes; Mr. DeLoose – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– Yes. Motion carried.
Case: RZ-17-109 Rezoning
George Hull
The Rock Island County Zoning Board of Appeals held a hearing at the request of George Hull for rezoning a portion of his property form AG-2 General Agricultural District to B-4 Highway Intensive Business District. There were no objectors present. A motion was made to approve the request by Mr. Brown and seconded by Mr. DeLoose. The vote to approve the request was as follows: Chairman Fuhr – Yes; Mr. Brown – Yes; Mr. Coyne – Yes; Mr. DeLoose – Yes; and Mr. Van Daele– No. Motion carried.
The following Finding of Facts from May 3, 2017 was approved with a motion by Mr. VanDaele and second by Mr. Brown. A voice vote was taken, motion carried.
