City of Silvis Park, Building, and Grounds Committee met August 9.
Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
Chairman Tony Trulson called the meeting to order a 4:00pm and noted a quorum was present for one agenda item. There were two applications submitted for outdoor events.
A request from Railhouse the night of the Moonlight Parade was submitted. They would like to have an outdoor event from 6-12pm and committee was agreeable to 11pm; that has been the policy events up to 11pm. Committee was in agreement with 11pm.
Also on the agenda was a request to have a band at Chiefs from 10pm to 1am the night of Moonlight Parade. Committee was not agreeable to an event after 11pm. Chairman Trulson thought that Chiefs may have used up to 5 or 6 events for the year so far and he noted there was a limit on the total events allowed for a one year period. The Chief made a call to the owner and the request was changed to 8pm to 11pm on August 26". Committee was in agreement with the request.
There were no other agenda items and the meeting was adjourned at 4:16pm.
