Veterans and seniors praised a veterans' resource fair put on by Rep. Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) on Tuesday in Galesburg, according to a press release.
Galva resident and veteran Joe Kendall told Swanson's team that he was impressed by the array of information and services available to veterans and seniors in the area, according to the press release.
The event, held at the Galesburg American Legion Post 285, brought state, local and community agencies together to provide information to veterans and seniors in a centralized location. The fair was one of three Swanson hosted in Mercer, Knox and Bureau counties.
“As a Veteran, Veteran Advocate, and Legislator, I am honored to host these events to help Veterans connect with services, right here in their communities that can help improve their quality of life,” Swanson said in the press release. “We owe a great debt to these men and women and this is just one small way we can make sure they know about services and programs helpful to them.”
