Rep. Tony McCombie (R-Savanna) teamed up with the New Americans Initiative recently to host a seminar for immigrants on the road to citizenship, according to a press release.
Dozens of people eager to learn what is required to become a U.S. citizen showed up at the seminar, which was held at World Relief in Moline. Information offered included how to become eligible for citizenship, how to apply and schedule appointments, and what citizenship means.
World Relief members were on hand following the information portion of the seminar to walk guests through the next step.
