Analysis: Moline pays $2.77 for every $1 pensioners contribute to East Moline Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.2 percent of the $962,435 the East Moline Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.77 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rock Island Today analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Moline contributed $704,267 to the fund, which saw a $200,257 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $253,761, or 26.4 percent, in 2016. Another $4,407 came from other unspecified sources.
