Geneseo Public Library District Board met Feb. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, February 12, 2018. President Bill Menendez called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. Board members in attendance were Christine Bergren, Lee Fluck, Holly McAvoy, Paul Pardo and Ray Rogers. Deb Wyffels, Assistant Director, was also present.

Citizen’s Input No citizens were present.

Secretary’s Report The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid. The Financial Report was reviewed and will be filed for the auditors. Holly made a motion to pay the bills, Paul seconded the motion, and the board unanimously agreed to the motion by roll call vote.

Library Director’s Report Please refer to Claire’s written report.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

North Door SS Masonry and East Moline Glass gave Claire an estimate for creating/installing this door for $4,990. She will talk to Dino Milano, of OnGuard Security, about putting a warning alarm on it so it is used only as an emergency exit.

Director Review Copies of Claire’s review were distributed to the Board.

Denver Trip Claire discussed what she learned at the Denver conference, in which she was selected to represent Illinois.

NEW BUSINESS

Review Board Claire reminded board members that there is a video about autism can be watched at the library. Trustees may also get training on how to take the Open Meeting Act test.

Seniority/Holidays The Board agreed that there is no seniority among employees in the library.

Staff Reviews These reviews have been completed and viewed.

Adjournment With no further matters before the board, at 7:50 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
