Geneseo Fire Department responded to 57 calls in 2017 - 7.5 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Geneseo included 26 fires - seven structure fires, five vehicle fires and 14 other fires.

In all, the department saw $301,800 in fire loss - or about $11,608 per fire.

The department also received 31 false calls.

The Geneseo Fire Department had an annual budget of $908,050 in 2017.
