Greene Township Fire Protection District-Viola Unit responded to 16 calls in 2017 - 11.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Greene-Viola Unit included 12 fires - two structure fires, three vehicle fires and seven other fires.

The department also received four false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian non-fire injuries and one civilian non-fire death.
