Coal Valley Fire Department responded to 20 calls in 2017 - 48.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Coal Valley included 14 fires - six structure fires, three vehicle fires and five other fires.

The department also received six false calls.

The Coal Valley Fire Department had an annual budget of $477,356 in 2017.
