East Moline City Fire Department responded to 210 calls in 2017 - 18 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in East Moline City included 90 fires - 28 structure fires, 11 vehicle fires and 51 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $809,287 in fire loss - or about $8,992 per fire.

The department also received 118 false calls, including 11 malicious calls and 107 other false calls.

Three fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
