Geneseo Public Library District Board met June 11.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library on Monday, June 11, 2018. Lee Fluck called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. Board members in attendance were Christine Bergren, Anne Meyer-McCright, Paul Pardo and Ray Rogers. Deb Wyffels, Assistant Director, was also present.

Citizen’s Input No citizens were present

Secretary’s Report The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed. A letter from the AARP Tax Assistance District Coordinator was read, thanking the Library for providing them a space to help 276 families with tax assistance.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid. The Financial Report was reviewed and will be filed for the auditors. Paul made a motion to pay the bills, Anne seconded the motion, and those present unanimously agreed to the motion by roll call vote.

Library Director’s Report Please refer to Claire’s written report.

Unfinished Business

Trustee Handbook Paul moved to accept the Trustee Handbook. Anne seconded the motion, and by voice vote, all members present voted “yes.”

Budget Jim advised the Board that there is one month left to the end of our fiscal year. A proposed working budget was distributed and reviewed. Ray moved that the working budget be accepted, Chris seconded the motion and by roll call vote, all members present voted yes.

New Business

Dental Coverage for Claire Anne moved that the Board approve dental insurance for Claire. Ray seconded it and all present voted yes by roll call.

Non-Residential Fee Paul made a motion that this fee remain at $100. Ray seconded the motion and those present voted by voice vote “yes.”

Meeting Dates As required by the Per Capita Grant regulations, Paul moved that all board meetings would remain to be held the second Monday of the month and at 6:30 pm. Anne seconded the motion, and by voice vote, it passed unanimously.

Prevailing Wage Ordinance Kris moved to accept the Prevailing Wage Ordinance. Paul seconded the motion and by roll call vote, all voted “yes.”

Building & Maintenance Tax Paul made a motion to accept the Building & Maintenance Tax and Anne seconded the motion. All members present voted “yes” by voice vote.

TMI Maintenance Agreement The three-year agreement with TMI is at an end. The Library has been happy with their work. Paul moved that the Board accept a new three-year agreement with them. Anne seconded the motion and it passed by all members present.

Carpentier, Mitchel, Goddard & Co LLC Their fee for the next annual audit will be $5,775. Anne moved that the board approve this; Ray seconded the motion, and it was approved by roll call vote, all voting “yes.”

Adjournment With no further matters before the board, at 7:35 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
