• Discussed the need to have the Cla-Vals (CVS valve at the 10th Street control pit connecting the two Village utility systems serviced professional. The valve was installed in 2001 or 2002. According to Village Engineer Jack Kusek (IMEG out of Ottawa, IL) they type of valves need professional maintenance / service from time to time. There is a possibility this could be causing some of the water main breaks in the past on top of hill, if the valve is opening or closing too fast and slamming the main with water and pressure. Need to have valve working and on auto to switch when needed as it was designed to do.
