UnityPoint Health Board of Directors - Quad Cities recently issued the following announcement.

Trinity, supporting service members past and present is a priority in our mission to improve the health of people and communities we serve. On Veterans Day 2018, UnityPoint Health – Trinity President and CEO Rick Seidler and other hospital leaders showed their commitment to supporting the work of the Guard and Reserve and team members who are serving or have served.

Putting pen to paper, Seidler signed a letter of support for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). ESGR is a Department of Defense program that develops and promotes supportive work environments for service members.

“Thank you to all of our employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve. Please know that we will continue to support you and appreciate the unique skills you bring to our workforce,” says Seidler.

Terry Dell, Chair of the Iowa ESGR Area 9 was on hand to accept the letter of support. He expressed gratitude for UnityPoint Health’s continued commitment to support service members and the work of the ESGR.

Seidler also thanked Jeff Borland, Manager of Laboratory Outreach and Logistics, and Daniel Joiner, Director of Community Engagement, for their diligent efforts to reestablish Trinity’s long-time support of the Guard and Reserve.

“At Trinity, we are going beyond these words of thanks by engaging our military and veteran communities in meaningful ways. We believe that genuine action is how we will truly help veterans and military members in our community,” says Seidler.
