Village of Port Byron Economic Development Committee met June 10.

Call to order by Chairperson Patty Lindley at 6:01 PM
Roll Call/ Establishment of a Quorum
Roll call: Present: Barb Cartwright, Barb Cray, Stacey Getting, Patty Lindley, Wes Wells
Absent: Terry Foust, Ron Jacobs

Administrative:
A: Approve meeting minutes from April 8, 2019 (no meeting held in May 2019)
Motion made by Wes Wells and seconded by Barb Cartwright to approve 040819 minutes
All “Ayes” – Minutes approved
Old business:
A: Third Thursday
1. Potential upcoming dates: 6/20, 7/18, 8/15, 9/19
2. Billie Davids wants to do kind of an “open mic” event – she would handle
3. If this committee okays this, Wes will proceed, organize, get sound set up, etc
B. Adult Easter Egg Hunt
1. Had very large attendance – around 300 people
2. First year for event, so possible changes for next year:
a. Separate areas for different ages?
b. More help manning the entries?
c. Better control?
C: Baby Blues Fest #5
1. Event is Saturday June 29
2. We have contracts with 4 bands and the sound guy
a. Guy doing the sound wanted to do music beginning at 4:00 in old gazebo
Motion made by Wes Wells and seconded by Barb Cartwright to pay Gene Morgan for sound, and for music from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at Baby Blues Fest
All “Ayes” – Motion approved
3. T-shirts and banner have been ordered
4. Wes suggested we have extra security from Sheriff’s Dept from 6-12
5. Also discussed the placing of barricades, trash cans, tents
D: Solar Power
1. Responsibility was turned over to IRDC (Infrastructure committee)
2. They will need to do RFP, etc
New business
A. Any bike rides this year? Will to Ben in October? Will have on next agenda
