City of Rock Island Arts Advisory Committee met September 11. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

Voting Members Present    Carolyn Krueger, Dawn Wohlford-Metallo, Joedy Cook, Amber Williams, and Tony Seabolt


Voting Members Absent      Brett Hitchcock, Jodie Kavensky, and Erik Hansen

Staff Present                      Kathryn Douglass

Guests None

Call to Order and Roll Call

Temporary Chair Tony Seabolt called the meeting to order at 4:10 PM and read the roll call. 

Public Comment

There were no members of the public in attendance.

Approval of the Agenda

Dawn Wohlford-Metallo moved to approve the September 11, 2019. Joedy Cook seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 5 to 0.

Approval of the Previous Meeting Minutes

Dawn Wohlford-Metallo moved to approve the minutes for August 14, 2019. Carolyn Krueger seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 5 to 0.

Old Business

None

New Business

      A. The committee members discussed the member vacancy and who to invite to fill it.

      B. The committee discussed the “Rock The Arts” event for 2019. Shows at the three venues, bands or music, restaurant and bar discounts, advertising, and funding were discussed. A date and time of October 11th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and October 12th from 12:00 to 4:00 pm was discussed as well.

      C. Kathy noted that Erik Hansen has not yet completed his OMA training and she emailed him a reminder.

Temporary Chair Tony Seabolt asked for a motion to adjourn. Amber Williams moved to adjourn. Joedy Cook seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously on a vote of 5 to 0 at 4:50 PM.
