Art Exhibition - Relief Prints by Jill Kramer

During the months of December-January the Smith Studio and Gallery, in Geneseo, is sponsoring an exhibition of the relief print artwork of Jill A. Kramer of Oak Park, Illinois. Heavily influenced by print illustrations from the turn of the last century, Jill’s beautiful artwork gives a nod to a bygone era and honors the traditional craft of relief printmaking. Drawn to pattern, texture, mark-making and saturated use of color, Jill’s work focuses on landscape and cityscape as an idealized sense of place and memory.
Jill received her MA in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her BFA in printmaking from Kent State University. She has been teaching for over 20 years in museum, school & community art settings and has facilitated programs for preschoolers to senior citizens. Ms. Kramer is the Executive Director of the Oak Park Art League.
Hours at the Smith Studio and Gallery are Tuesday through Saturday 10:00-5:00, closed on Sunday and Monday.
