WESTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY QUAD CITIES: First Informational Meeting of National Society of Black Engineers Today

Western Illinois University Quad Cities recently issued the following announcement.

The National Society of Black Engineers is one of the largest student-governed organizations in the United States and its mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black Engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.

The Western Illinois University chapter will host its first interest meeting for students from 5-6 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 13) in the University Union Algonquin Room.

The chapter is committed to advancing students' career development through value-adding conferences, leadership training, professional development activities, mentoring, career placement services, community service opportunities and more. They are open to all Students in science, technology, engineering, math and social sciences.
