Rock Island Today

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against justice released on parole in Rock Island County during the second quarter of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rock Island Today.

The data shows that a man and a woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against justice was 27. The younger parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced in 2018, and the oldest was a 29-year-old woman sentenced in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Elise M. Wilson. She was convicted in 2018 when she was 28 years old. She is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
