City of Keithsburg City Council met Jan. 13.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Henshaw opened the Meeting at 6:30 PM

Pledge of Allegiance

Alderman Physically Present: Bill Pinger, Jan Occhi, Donnie Cox, Ronnie Brock

Others present: Cindy Diehl, Treasurer; Larry Robertson, Streets; Kelly Parker, Clerk; Absent: Tom Litwiler

MSA Grant Project Updates:

Wetland Mitigation: The funding administration agencies conducted their “monitoring visit: the week of December 16th, for the purposes of verifying project completeness.

Flood Mitigation: Punch-list items have been completed by Valley Construction and verified by Scott Duckett. The funding administration agencies conducted a “monitoring visit” late in the week of December 16th, for the purpose of verifying project completeness.

Public Comments:

1. Minutes from last month’s meeting: Donnie made a motion to approve minutes, Jan seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.

2. Cash Receipts: Jan made a motion to approve, Bill seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.

3. Cash Disbursements: Ronnie made a motion to approve, Don seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.

4. Water and Sewer

• Total gallons pumped 1,023,000 with an average of 33,000

5. Streets and Sidewalks: Water main for Cargill has been repaired. The sewer line on 16th was attempted to be fixed but water levels became a problem. Other options for repairs were discussed between Larry, Steve Nylin, and Allen.

• Troy Brock was introduced as the new part-time officer.

• Donnie made a motion not to hand out stickers for golf carts and UTVs, Bill seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.

• The new Marijuana Law was discussed. There are no concerns for the City that the state laws do not cover

12. Donnie made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Ronnie seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
