Geneseo Public Library District Board met March 9.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

The Board of Trustees of the Geneseo Public Library District met in Foundation Room A at the library. President Ray Rogers called the meeting to order at 6:28 p.m. Trustees in attendance were Lee Fluck, Carol Luciani, Paul Pardo and Karen Turner.

Citizen’s Input

A patron explained how he enjoys several of the services available at the library.

Secretary’s Report

The minutes from last month’s meeting stand approved as printed.

Financial Report/Bills to Be Paid

Jim Luikart suggested moving two accounts to a bank in which we do more business with. Lee made a motion that this be done, Carol seconded it, and the motion passed unanimously by roll call vote. Paul made a motion to pay the bills, Carol seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously by roll call vote. Lee moved to approve the financial report; Paul seconded it, and it was passed unanimously by roll call vote.

Library Director’s Report

The installation of LED lights throughout the building is nearly complete. The grant Claire wrote paid for the partnership with the Figge Museum and also for a program with the Putnam Museum. The Rotarians helping patrons with their tax returns are very busy. Lee and Kathi Fluck donated money to purchase an iMac (Apple) computer for the library.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Digital Sign

Lang Signs/Watchfire made a presentation of digital signing.

Citizen’s Input

It was agreed that a three-minute rule be effective immediately for all citizens addressing the Board.

NEW BUSINESS

Google Reviews Statistics on Google searches for the library were very good, earning the library a “5-star rating.”

Adjournment With no further matters before the board, at 8:18 p.m., the meeting adjourned.
