City of Keithsburg City Council met March 20.

Mayor Henshaw opened the Meeting at 6:00 PM
Pledge of Allegiance
Alderman Physically Present: Donnie Cox, Bill Pinger, Jan Occhi, Don Truitt, Ronnie Brock, Tom Litwiler.
Others present: Cindy Diehl, Treasurer; Kelly Parker, Clerk; and Troy Brock, Police.
1. Water and Sewer
• Craig Zenke presented estimate for the Jackson Street Sewer Repair and an estimate for dewatering the site from Toppert Jetting Service.
Dewatering cost will be $13,150. City employees will check on pumps instead of having Toppert provide an employee. This will save several thousand dollars. The City will provide fuel for the pumps on site. Zenk will fix sewer after dewatering is completed at a charge of no more than $14,000. He will also utilize our employees to save the City money.
The council discussed the plan, and all agree the issue needs to be fixed. Jan made a motion to except the bids from both Zenk and Toppert with $15,000 out of the Revolving Loan Fund and $15,000 out of Water/Sewer Reserve set aside to pay for work. Donnie seconded motion. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
• An invoice from Kenny Tharp was presented for work completed at site on Jackson Street. Donnie made a motion to return bill to be itemized and pay $2800 when new invoice is received, Ronnie seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
2. Adjourn the meeting: Donnie made a motion to adjourn meeting, Bill seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
