At this time, the President of the Board of Education will recognize visitors and ask if any citizen of the community is interested in speaking to members of the Board of Education. Time allowed will generally be limited to three minutes for each individual, unless waived by the President. All individuals who wish to address the Board of Education must sign up in advance. The President may limit the opportunity to address the Board in cases where a person has previously addressed the Board on the same or related subject. Issues brought to the Board prior to being channeled through the proper chain of command will be referred back to the appropriate level.

It is recommended that the minutes from the April 27, 2020 regular meeting be approved.
2. Approval of Treasurer's Report
It is recommended that the Treasurer’s Report for April 2020 be approved subject to audit.
3. Approval of Accounts Payable
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the payment of bills listed, received during the month of April 2020, to be paid during the month of May 2020.and quick pays during the month of April 2020.

4. Approval of Destruction of Audio Tapes from Executive Session
It is recommended the Board of Education approve destruction of recordings from the Executive Session on July 30, 2018.
5. Approval of Personnel Change
a. Personnel - Licensed - Employment
Mercy Zathang has been employed as a Transitional Bilingual Education teacher at Ridgewood Elementary, effective August 10, 2020. Gabrielle Pepping has been employed as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher at Wells Elementary, effective August 10, 2020.
Chelsea Crumbleholme has been employed as a District Speech and Language Clinician at Hillcrest Elementary, effective August 10, 2020.
Khaoula Benhanachi has been employed as a Transitional Bilingual Education teacher, effective August 10, 2020.
b. Personnel - Classified - Employment
Efoe Kossi has been employed as an instructional aide at Glenview Middle School, effective August 10, 2020.
c. Personnel - Licensed - Resignation
Valerie Schneider has submitted a resignation from her position as Administrative Intern at Wells Elementary, effective at the end of her contract year, June 3, 2020. Kathleen Porter has resigned from her position as Grade 5 Language Arts at Glenview Middle School, effective at the end of the 19-20 school year. Rachel Manthe has resigned as a teacher, effective at the end of her unpaid leave of absence, May 27, 2020. Kenneth Spranger has resigned as Principal at Wells Elementary, effective June 10, 2020.
d. Personnel - Licensed - Retirement
Sanchia Horst-Sommer has submitted a letter of intent to retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Ms. Horst-Sommer currently teaches TEC (Thinking, Enrichment, Challenge) and will retire with 34 years of district service.

In accordance with Chapter 5, Act 120, Section 2, of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, an Executive Session will be held to discuss:
The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee of the public body or against legal counsel for the public body to determine its validity. However, a meeting to consider an increase in compensation to a specific employee of a public body that is subject to the Local Government Wage increase Transparency Act may not be closed and shall be open to the public and posted and held in accordance with this Act. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
