Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Rock Island County?

There were 32 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Rock Island County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rock Island Today.

The data shows that 26 men and six women were released in Rock Island County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Tyrone Holloway. He was convicted of homicide in 1981 when he was 19 years old. He is now 58.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Rock Island County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
