Joy Community Fire Protection District responded to four calls in 2018 - 42.9 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Joy Community included four fires - three structure fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $18,000 in fire loss - or about $4,500 per fire.
