Colona Fire District responded to 77 calls in 2018 - 26.2 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Colona included 63 fires - 17 structure fires, 10 vehicle fires and 36 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $2,049,100 in fire loss - or about $32,525 per fire.

The department also received 13 false calls.

The Colona Fire District had an annual budget of $316,510 in 2018.
