Village of Matherville Board of Trustees met Oct. 26

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Call to Order/Roll Call 

Mayor John Starcevich called the October meeting of the Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll Call – Trustees present: Scott Campbell, Tony Starcevich, Brianna Adams, Jim Shields, Linda Starcevich,  Village Manager Stephanie McMeekan, Clerk Molly Litwiler. Not present, - Trustee Buffy Krack and Treasurer  Anne Slavish 

Approval of Minutes of Last Meeting 

Trustee Tony Starcevich made a motion to approve the September minutes. 

Trustee Linda Starcevich seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried. 

Treasurer Report’s and bills to be paid 

September bills & Treasurer Reports were reviewed and a motion was made by Trustee Tony Starcevich to approve. Trustee Jim Shields seconded. All were in favor and motion carried. 

Public Comment – 

➢ Pete Adams – village share of clean up days is $855.00, this includes dumpster rental and pay workers. 

➢ Matherville Sanitary District – Dave Nelson is resigning from the Secretary/Treasurer position. Pete  Adams will be taking over the position. A new president needs to be assigned. 

➢ People’s caucus will be held December 7th. There will be three 4 years Trustee positions, Mayor and  Treasurer. 

Mayor Report 

➢ Nothing at this time. 

Committee Reports 

Water & Sewer 

➢ Committee did not have anything to report at this time. 

Streets & Alleys 

➢ Committee did not have anything to report at this time. 

Village & Property 

➢ Committee did not have anything to report at this time. 

Parks & Recreation 

➢ Committee did not have anything to report at this time. 

Ordinance 

➢ Committee did not have anything to report at this time.

Finance 

➢ Nothing at this time. 

Village Manager Report 

➢ Mercer County Better Together is seeking a donation for future projects. Trustee Jim Shield made a  motion to donate $1,000.00 to Mercer County Better Together. Trustee Tony Starcevich seconded. All  were in favor and the motion carried. 

Matherville Fire Department Report 

➢ Nothing at this time. 

Maintenance Supervisor Report 

➢ The ditch by the little ball diamond has been cleaned out, to help drain properly. 

➢ EPA said water testing system at the Eagles is outdated, will need to upgrade the pump system. Unfinished Business 

➢ Nothing at this time. 

New Business 

➢ Nothing at this time. 

Here being no further business to come before the Board, Trustee Tony Starcevich made a motion to adjourn  and Trustee Brianna Adams seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried
