Moline officials, in collaboration with Renew Moline and industry professionals, have developed the Moline River Front + Centre Plan to enhance the area around and beneath the I-74 bridge. The initiative seeks to transform this section of downtown into a more vibrant and accessible space for the community.

The plan incorporates feedback from residents as well as expert evaluations. Recommendations focus on expanding housing, work, and retail opportunities; adding parks and green spaces; improving walking and biking routes; and upgrading streets and public areas. The targeted zone extends from the Mississippi River in the north to 7th Avenue in the south, between 18th Street on the west and 23rd Street on the east, with a portion reaching 25th Street.

According to city representatives, the project is intended to promote economic growth, support environmental sustainability, and improve quality of life for both locals and visitors. City officials encourage interested parties to review the complete plan to understand its vision for downtown Moline’s future.
