City of Keithsburg City Council Met April 12.

Mayor Henshaw opened the Meeting at 6:30 PM
Pledge of Allegiance
Alderman Physically Present: Donnie Cox; Bill Pinger; Jan Occhi; Ronnie Brock; Donnie Truitt. Others Present: Treasurer, Cindy Diehl; City Clerk, Kayla Hillman.
Not Present: Tom Litwiler
Public Comments:
MSA Updates: MSA has reached out to the IDNR regarding clarification on the need for any temporary construction permit/ clearance to proceed with repairs to pump station and underground piping near the Boat Club. MSA has prepared a plan and profile sheet for the storm discharge pipe and have submitted it to IL DNR for them to complete their review. Expecting to hear from IL DNR with the approved permit soon.
1. Minutes from last Month’s Meeting: Donnie motioned to approve, Jan seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
2. Cash Receipts: Bill made a motion to approve, Ronnie seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
3. Cash Disbursements: Donnie motioned to approve, Don seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
4. Water and Sewer: Hydrant flushing will be April 30th- May 2nd. Barricades will be up, could have rusty water on those days.
5. Streets and sidewalks: Skyler Flowers discussed the roads, and the pothole issues the town is having, along with working to get the upper Campground finished.
6. Fire Department: Fire department received a new application. Jan Motioned to approve, Ron seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
7. Police: Nothing to report.
8. Campground: Two more lights will be added to the Upper campground. Ameren power company will set the poles and the Lights for free, but it is our responsibility to run the lines in the ground 210 ft estimated price $1800-2000. One of the Light poles will be set by the Stop sign at the top of the hill to the upper campground pointing towards the intersection, the other light will be on the electrical panel pole pointing towards the playground. Donnie motioned to approve, Bill seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.

11. Other Business:
• The new website is almost finished, and ready to publish. The Domain will still be the same www.CityofKeithsburg.com . Kasi Henshaw presented the website to the council; council is incredibly pleased with the new updated website to come.
• Marla Reynolds spoke about the Champions 4Children Walk; May 1st, 2021 Pre-Registration is required to register. You can register at www.getmeregistered.com. Reynolds asked the City of Keithsburg for a donation for the Blue kids for Child Abuse Prevention month. Bill motioned for the City of Keithsburg to donate $1000.00; Jan seconded. Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
• Travis Gilmour asked the council to put an Advertisement for Gilmour Construction on the sign coming into town. Travis is to put a board along the bottom of the signs to add onto the advertisement board. Donnie motioned to approve, Ron seconded; Motion carried with all “Yes” votes.
• MFT payment in the amount of $2380.82 was paid back to MFT because expenditures were made prior to approval of funds.
Donnie motioned to adjourn the meeting; Bill seconded, Carried with all “Yes” votes.
