Rock Island County Public Works & Facilities Committee met Oct. 12.

The Public Works and Facilities Committee of the Rock Island County Board will meet at the above date and time in the Board Chambers on the third floor of the County Building 1504 Third Avenue, Rock Island Illinois.
Per section 7(e) of the State of Illinois Open Meetings Act, Members of the County Board may attend the meeting remotely, if they prefer.

Reports to the Committee
G. Thorpe reported for the month of September 2021, 65 total receipts for a total of $67,670.16. The estimated value of all work related to building projects for the month is $8,171,835. Compared to 2020 there were 125 permits, $29,135.20 with estimated value of $2,213,206.00. YTD is 930 versus 960. 3 new houses at average price of $180 per square foot, 1 in Zuma and 2 in Bowling. He also reported they are still working on the Hazard Mitigation plan.

J. Massa reports that maintenance is finishing up the mowing. They have a Bid Letting on November 5th For county highway bridge 9, which is southwest of Andalusia.

J. Snider reported on the progress of the budget committee and the ARPA funds. He also shared they are looking at a Revenue mutual tax levy to be on the agenda next week.

A. Palmer shared there are extra graphs in her reports due to some questions that came up during COW regarding Hope Creek.
