Tony M. McCombie, State Representative of Illinois General Assembly, Republican Party recently said shared information on early voting.
"Early voting has begun! If you requested a ballot, you are the lucky winners of some information about me!" McCombie wrote in a Sept. 29 Facebook post. "Thanks for being engaged and taking your civic duty seriously! If you or someone you know is not registered to vote, they may register to vote online here: https://ova.elections.il.gov/ and vote on Election Day, November 8th at your local polling place."
Tony McCombie was elected to represent the individuals living in the 71st District in 2016. She is a lifelong resident of Savanna, Ill., and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University. She owns and operates Blue Appraisals and is a real estate broker with MelFoster Company. Her previous political experience includes time as the mayor of Savanna, Ill., and as a councilor on the Savanna City Council.
The Illinois Board of Elections notes that registered voters don't have to provide a reason to cast a ballot before election day, and they vote in person at the elections office or early voting center. They offer early voting to get more people involved and voting.
