City of Colona Public Works Committee met Oct. 20

City of Colona Public Works Committee met Oct. 20.

Here is the agenda provided by the committee:

1. All 2022 road repaving is done.

2. Have 3 streets that will need some additional milling yet.

3. Winter season is upon us!!!!!

• Oil changes, check antifreeze in equipment and vehicles.

• Make sure all the snow plows and salt spreaders ready.

4. Will winterize C.S.F.P. after the park closes.

5. Still have 3 retention ponds, and 2 drainage ditches to clear.

6. Tree removal will begin Nov. 7th at the camp ground.

7. Still doing meter changes thru out the City.

8. Tony and Sean took the class C operator exam. Waiting on results.

9. City wide flushing 10-17-22 thru 10-21-22.

10.The primary clarifier is being installed finally.

11.We need to keep in mind of additional cost at the sewer plant.

• Out dated or non-working parts, equipment, valves, etc.

12. Recently brought to my attention that a door needs installed. This door would keep out anyone without an appointment or announcement. The door would be going down the steps to the basement at City Hall. This would be for safety and wellbeing as well. Getting a quote for cost.

13. Amanda Lucki would like to see a dog park in the city.

14. Have a quote for a $137,000.00 from Werner Restoration to renovate the restrooms at the C.S.F.P. pavilion. This will have to go out for bids if it is something were interested in.

15. Still need a 7th general labor. This fulltime position is needed all year. On call 24/7. I would be willing to sacrifice 2-3 seasonal employees to get the employee needed for the wellbeing of this City.
