IMEG Corp. acquires Barker Structural
IMEG Corp. has acquired Barker Structural, a San Antonio and Las Vegas-based structural engineering firm. The acquisition adds to Quad Cities-based IMEG's structural group of now over 300 team members.
Founded in 2010, Barker Structural has provided sustainable and cutting-edge structural engineering design services on a wide variety of projects in the commercial, education, gaming, government, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and multi-family markets.
"We are excited to add the team from Barker Structural and deepen our bench of expertise," said IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne. “Their passion for the built environment, along with their creative and technical skills, are vital characteristics that match IMEG’s own priorities.” VanDuyne added that the team’s structural capabilities complement IMEG’s full-service capabilities across the country.
Barker Structural co-founder, Principal Kris Barker, said his firm is excited to become part of IMEG and help drive continued growth. Mr. Barker will serve as a project executive with IMEG. The firm will continue to operate out of its existing San Antonio and Las Vegas locations, doing business as Barker Structural, now IMEG until full integration.
