The Committee of the Whole of the City of Geneseo was called to order on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:

8.1. BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION TRENDS DISCUSSION
City Building Inspector Rick Mills gave a presentation on the Building andConstruction Trends in 2022.
8.2. PD FURNITURE PURCHASE
Chief Disterhoft spoke with Council about spending the donated funds on furniture in the detective room.
Brett Barnhart moved, seconded by Bob James, Motion to recommend to City Council the expenditure of $7,664.00 of donated public funds for the purchase of new PD furniture.

8.3. NE DRAINAGE - PHASE #2 OPTIONS
City Engineer Loren gave his report on the NE Drainage Phase #2 Options.
1. Reject all bids and rebid without sidewalk & allow contractor to close the road during work hours.
2. Award as bid
3.Award as bid with discussions after the fact with Brandt Construction for their acceptance to reduce the sidewalk work efforts by half.
Keith Kennett moved, seconded by Martin Rothschild, Motion to recommend to City Council to Award the Project, as bid, to the lowest bidder and to direct the city engineer to discuss potential cost saving measures with the contractor upon the bid being awarded.

City Administrator Maeglin spoke to council members about the MFT resolution to cover street lighting, salt, and HMA overlay work by Henry County.
