Q3 2021 Recap: 2 parolees from Rock Island County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Rock Island County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Rock Island Today.

The data shows a man and a woman were among the parolees. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons was 33. The younger parolee was a 31-year-old man sentenced in 2017, and the oldest was a 35-year-old woman sentenced in 2012.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Pashanet P. Reed. She was convicted in 2012 when she was 25 years old. She is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
