NON-CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS

1. Change Order: Riverside Park Improvements. (Eric Griffith, Parks Recreation Director)

Explanation: Staff requests to change order out the drainage work around the existing tennis courts and add in asphalt overlaying the existing tennis court parking lot.

Removal of drainage around the tennis courts: $184,947

Adding in the existing tennis court parking lot (south parking lot): $43,282.90 Cost saving of roughly: $141,664.10

Or

Add alternate of the south parking (tennis parking lot): $163,002

Staff Recommendation: Staff recommends removal of the drainage around the tennis courts and adding in the existing tennis court parking lot to asphalt overlay. The savings will give us 10% contingency if any other change orders come up.

Fiscal Impact: Cost saving of roughly $141,664.10 in case there are other change orders not currently accounted for. This will also give us the opportunity to resurface the tennis courts with park board approval.
