The Wheelock Velie neighborhood in Moline will hold a cleanup event on Saturday, October 11. Volunteers are encouraged to gather at 7:30 a.m. in the backyard of 1922 15th Street A., Moline, Illinois. Community members with questions can call 309-762-1237.
Residents can begin placing items for disposal at their curb starting Thursday, October 9. Items accepted for collection include tires, concrete, junk, bricks, and other general waste.
Organizers have outlined several guidelines for the event. Appliances and hazardous materials will not be collected. Latex paint cans must be dried before pickup. Yard waste should be bagged separately from other garbage; stickers are not required.
The event aims to support cleanliness in the Wheelock Velie neighborhood and encourages community participation.
