City of Moline Keep Moline Beautiful Commission met May 11.

Call to Order
Rodd Schick called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. in the Public Works Conference Room.
Roll Call
Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes
Pam Nelson made a motion to approve the April KMB minutes. Kirk Marske seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved.
Old Business
KMB Planning
Pam Nelson presented a handout and reviewed it with those present
KMB Officer Nominations
Nominations are on hold until the sub-committee brings final recommendations to the Commission.
Committee Reports
1. Blue Can Group – no report.
2. QC Earth Coalition – Might not exist anymore.
3. X-Stream Cleanup – Put any cleanups on their website to have volunteers sign up. They have sunglasses for volunteers this year. It was suggested to look at their website at an upcoming KMB meeting.
4. Garden Guardians – Flood waters are receding but it is still very muddy. Laura and Mary are meeting at Teske’s to look at additional plants.
5. School Outreach – no report.
6. Downtown Events – Kirk handed out and reviewed the full list of downtown events. Moline Centre is updating their website. There are 3 informational kiosks downtown that could be used by KMB.
7. City Update – Staff continues to work on the cleanup of the wind/tornado storm event. Flood cleanup will take at least 2 weeks to complete. The City had an employee cleanup/project today and completed various projects throughout the community.

Summer Meeting Schedule – a survey should be done to see what everyone’s schedules look like.

Kirk informed everyone that a merchant’s meeting was going to take place and a possible downtown cleanup would be discussed.
