The Plan Commission of the City of Geneseo was called to order on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 6:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, with the following members present:
PLAN COMMISSION PRESENT: Plan Commission Joe Bedford, Plan Commission Rhonda Ludwig, Plan Commission Morgan Thurman, and Plan Commission Julia McAvoy

City Administrator Maeglin advised the Board the plans to change the Farmer's National Bank and McDonald's sign to a multiple message digital sign. The conversation about nits came up when speaking about the brightness of the signs, not exceeding 5000 nits during the daytime and 500 at night.
5.1. Farmers National Bank Multiple Message Sign
Farmers is seeking approval to build a 24sq ft. multiple message sign at their location on route 6. The Plan Commission is tasked with ensuring that the multiple message sign is compliant with section 40-157 (Multiple Message Sign Regulations) and section 40-66 (HCOD) before the applicant is issued a permit.
Rhonda Ludwig moved, seconded by Joe Bedford, Motion to approve the Multiple Message Sign Permit for Farmers Bank with luminance of the sign not the exceed 5,000 knits during the day and 500 knits from dusk to dawn.

McDonald's is seeking approval to replace their current manual letter sign with a multiple message sign of the same size (24 sq ft.) at their location on route 6 and Oakwood. The Plan Commission is tasked with ensuring that the multiple message sign is compliant with section 40-157 (Multiple Message Sign Regulations) and section 40-66 (HCOD) before the applicant is issued a permit.
Joe Bedford moved, seconded by Julia McAvoy, Motion to approve the Multiple Message Sign Permit for McDonald's with luminance of the sign not the exceed 5,000 nits during the day and 500 knits from dusk to dawn.
