City of Moline Library Board of Trustees Executive Committee met July 26.

Call to Order
Library Board President, Diane Sommers, called the meeting to order at 3:06p.m. in the Library Platinum room.
Student Trustee
The Executive Committee met with City of Moline Executive Intern, Sam Gerstel, to discuss the potential for a student Library Board of Trustees member. Sam shared notes and examples of library policies concerning student trustees. Discussion had on how to approach the idea and what the process might look like, including the suggestion for two non-voting members from varying grades and different Moline schools. Sam shared input on how to market to students and will provide Lear contact information for connections at Moline High School. A draft application and policy were discussed. More information will be gathered. The hope is to get something started in the coming months.
