He stated, "It is great to have tomorrow's leaders visit us in Springfield to see how our legislative process works. Traidan and Daci got to explore the Capitol, meet legislators, and see the House of Representatives in action."
Traidan, a senior at Wethersfield High School, is actively involved in various extracurricular activities such as softball, cheerleading, golf, FFA, Key Club, student council, yearbook, and the National Honor Society. She is also dedicated to community service through tutoring and volunteering. Additionally, Traidan has served as the two-term president of the FFA chapter at Wethersfield.
Daci, on the other hand, is a sophomore at Augustana College, majoring in psychology and business administration. She excels academically, having made the dean's list last semester. Daci is also a member of the Augustana College cheerleading team and the Augustana Republican Club. Her achievements extend back to her high school days, where she graduated as the valedictorian of Wethersfield High School.
The Hier sisters are the daughters of Dan and Tracy Hier, who come from an eight-generation Henry County farm family. Their commitment to education, community involvement, and leadership is a testament to their upbringing.
